Rented Local, the peer-to-peer rental marketplace serving Squamish, Whistler and Pemberton, today announced an embeddable booking widget that lets local rental and experience businesses take bookings directly on their own websites.
Instead of sending customers to a third-party marketplace, a business adds a single line of code to its site. Customers click "Book Now," choose their dates or time slot, and pay without leaving the page. Rented Local handles availability, payment and the owner's payout in the background.
First partner: Mamquam Sauna
Mamquam Sauna, a wood-fired mobile sauna rental in the Sea to Sky corridor, is the first business to use the widget. Customers booking on mamquamsauna.com now reserve and pay through Rented Local without ever leaving the sauna's own site.
What the widget does
- Two booking styles in one tool. Businesses can sell fixed time slots, like appointments or tours, or daily and weekly rentals with a date-range calendar.
- Payments built in. Checkout runs on Stripe inside the page, with no redirect.
- Automatic owner payouts. Funds are transferred to the business through Stripe Connect once a booking is completed.
- Confirmations customers can use. Each booking sends an email confirmation with a calendar invite.
- Cancellations handled. Refunds follow a tiered cancellation policy without manual work from the owner.
