The Squamish studio builds small businesses fast, custom sites at no up-front cost, and hands over the source code so owners are never locked in.

SQUAMISH, British Columbia, October 19, 2026 —
Small businesses usually face two choices for a website: pay an agency thousands of dollars up front, or spend their own time on a drag-and-drop builder they can never fully leave. FreeSite Company, a web design studio in Squamish, British Columbia, offers a third option: a custom, hand-coded website, built for free.
Built by hand, owned by the client
FreeSite Company builds every site from scratch rather than from a template. Each build includes:
- Hand-coded pages that load fast on phones
- Local SEO foundations: schema markup, meta tags and an XML sitemap
- Contact, quote or booking forms
- Analytics and Meta pixel setup
- Two full rounds of revisions
- Full source code handed to the owner
Unlike hosted builders, which typically keep a site tied to their platform, FreeSite Company clients receive their code and can host it anywhere or hand it to another developer.
Pricing
The build is free, and owners see the finished site live before paying anything. Hosting and support cost $9.99 a month if they choose to keep it, with no contract.
The company also published a new comparison of Wix, Squarespace and custom websites on its blog, covering ownership, speed, cost and when each option makes sense.
Applications are open at freesitecompany.com.
