Outlook
ASML guided fourth-quarter net sales to between €14.2 billion and €15.2 billion, with a gross margin of around 57%. For the full year it now expects net sales of €44 billion to €45 billion and a gross margin of around 56%.
The company also declared an interim dividend of €1.88 per ordinary share, payable November 4, 2026, and said it repurchased about €4.1 billion of shares in the quarter under its 2026–2028 buyback program.
Why it matters
ASML is the sole supplier of extreme ultraviolet (EUV) lithography machines, which chipmakers such as TSMC, Samsung and Intel use to print the most advanced processors. Its sales are widely read as an indicator of how much capacity chipmakers plan to add, much of it to serve AI demand.
The filing refers to planned increases in low-NA EUV and DUV immersion capacity for 2027 and 2028. It does not break out the quarter's sales by technology or by customer country in the portions reviewed here.
ASML's report arrives the same week TSMC is due to publish its own third-quarter results.
